To celebrate our new release, the DT are holding a blog hop today and are sharing creations made with some of the brand new Crissy Armstrong, Elisabeth Bell and Meljens Designs stamps!
For those of you who are new to Whimsy Stamps, we hold a 3-day new release event each month: a Sneak Peek Blog Hop on the day before the release (yesterday), a Release Day Blog Hop on release day (today), and finally a Review Day Blog Hop the day after the release (tomorrow).

For today's Blop Hop I have used this adorable new stamp from Crissy Armstrong called "The Gangs All Here". How cute are all these happy little faces? Crissy really is the Queen of cute animal stamps!

The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Ink, and coloured with Copics, The background is sponged with Distress Inks for a softer look. I liked the 'barn-like' feel of the red paneled paper, and the country tones of the red and yellow floral. And of course gingham ribbon makes anything look a bit quaint and country!

I popped the image up on mounted foam and framed it with Lacey Nestabilities, so they look like they are peeking out of the card ;)  All the details are in the products list below.

Sorry I haven't been around much lately... but I'm hoping to get back on track with regular postings!
Here's a card that I made for Issue 11 of the Whimsy Inspiration Magazine.

For this card I used the adorable "Party Penguin" by Meljen's Designs, coloured with Copics (colours listed below). I also used "Celebration Pennants" by Raindrop Echo Designs and the WhimsyBanner & Pennants Dies Set - all these can be found at the Whimsy Stamps Store. My papers are Cosmo Cricket 6x6 'Togetherness', and I popped the cute little penguin up on Nestabilities Picot Circles.

Whimsy Inspiration - Happy St Patrick's Day!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you've all had a great week!
Just wanted to share a card with you that I made this week for St Patrick's Day, using the new "St Patrick's Day Sentiments" from Raindrop Echo Designs. This fab set is available at Whimsy Stamps in digital format, and I just easily changed the colour to suit my card.
I also used the pretty "Emerald Isle Digital Papers" by Michele Roos Designs (also available at Whimsy Stamps), and finished it off with some bling, flowers and sheer ribbon.

Whimsy Inspiration - Special Delivery

Hello again!
As I can't show you any of my current creations just yet, I thought I'd share a card with you that I made for Christmas!
This card appeared in the Whimsy Inspirations October Magazine (Issue 10) - this is available in a smaller Digital version HERE... or the Full Print Copy is available from the Whimsy Stamps store HERE.
This sweet image is "Little Angel" from Lia Stampz, and I've used one of the "Garden Bun Bun Fairy Sentiments" from Raindrop Echo Designs, both available at Whimsy Stamps.
The papers are Cosmo Cricket 'Mitten Weather', and I know I used a great sketch at the time - but it's been too long for me to remember who it was from!

Christmas Whimsy Inspiration

Hi Everyone!
Only one week until Christmas now! Hope everyone is feeling calm and peaceful, merry and bright!  ;) Well... I hope that things are coming together and aren't tooooo stressful at least!
What are your plans for Christmas Day? We are having Christmas at our place this year, and have had fun putting up the tree and preparing for my family - especially my gorgeous little nieces! Christmas Eve is forecast for 39C, so we are thinking a BBQ is a good idea. :)

This week I want to share a card I made using the adorable new StampArt Design by Kathryne digital images. I used "Noelle" bear, and then flipped and positioned "Sweetie Bear" next to it, with the Bonus sentiment from Noelle above them. I love that you can merge any of Whimsy's digital images to create little scenes - so much fun and so easy to do!

Isn't this snowman adorable? He is the cute "Flakey Friends" by StampArt by Kathryne. I've also used the 'Let it Snow' from "Christmas Sentiments" by Raindrop Echo Designs, and the fabulous "Whimsy Layered Snowflake Dies", all available from Whimsy Stamps.
To give him a bit of background I cut some little houses from some digi paper and cropped them around him, so at least he doesn't look all alone out in the snow! And I just love aqua and red together so they were the colours I chose. I did go a little crazy with the Stickles... but he IS a snowman, and the theme IS 'sparkly', so I had a valid excuse LOL!!

Well here we are with my final card for the September showcase! This little cutie is called "Pumpkins Fifty Cents" by Crissy's Digi's, and is available now from Whimsy Stamps. Pumpkins aren't in season here at the moment (we've just burst into Spring!), so 50 cents would be a real bargain!
For this card I used the current Sweet Sketch Wednesday #169 - just flipped it to suit my image! I used country looking papers from the DCWV 'Amber Autumn Stack', and added some Grosgrain ribbon and garden twine for a rustic feel.
Oh my gosh this really makes me feel like pumpkin soup... Hope you like my card! ;)

Well we don't really "do" Halloween here in Australia - although there are a few kids who've picked up on the idea of free lollies these days, so we occasionally get a little ghoul at the door lol! We always make sure to have some bags of goodies ready just in case ;)
So being that it isn't big here, I have to say this is my very first actual Halloween card. But this little witch was so adorable I couldn't resist. Firstly, the cute curls reminded me of my gorgeous nieces, and secondly, her name is "Samantha". As a little girl I loved the show 'Bewitched', (and yes I wished I was Tabitha and tried to Twitch my nose) so I've made a "Halloween Exception"!
This cute little "Samantha" is by Lia Stampz, now available from Whimsy Stamps, and the Halloween Ticket Sentiments are by Raindrop Echo.
I've fussy cut and double mounted her on a swirly embossed background to make her stand out, and the bats and witches on the paper took away the need for too much embellishment. I just added the tickets for the sentiments, and some ribbon and the lace - which sort of looks cob-webby ;) - and I was done! Hope you like my sweet little witch!

For today's card I decided to use this sweet "Fall Day" from Dana's Digi's, available from Whimsy Stamps. She looks so content, and of course that cute little squirrel sold it for me! I've used one of Raindrop Echo's "Autumn Sentiments" and trimmed the leaves off to scatter around the card (they come above the sentiment.)
The beautiful Autumn coloured papers are from Basic Grey's Pyrus collection, and everything is framed with a deep red cardstock.

This image is "Driving" by Lia Stampz, and is available from today at Whimsy Stamps. Doesn't he look so cheerful, toodling along, whistling a happy tune? So I thought this sentiment was appropriate, as a reminder that often the joy really is in the journey, not just the destination.
This paper was so perfect for the image, that I didn't want to add too much to cover it up, so just a few buttons and I felt it was done! ;)

I hope everyone has enjoyed the Olympics as much as we have! What a fabulous and exciting couple of weeks it's been. Good old GB sure did put on a fab show, and I know our UK family and friends have had a blast! (Not sure what to do with ourselves now that it's over though LOL!)

So onto my card... This little fellow just might be dreaming of being in the Olympics one day! ;)
He is the cute "Little Bear Canoe Adventure" (and included Sentiment), by StampArt by Kathryne, available from Whimsy Stamps.
I'm a big fan of cards with lots of layers, and have real trouble making CAS or single-layer cards, so this challenge was right up my alley! I often use Sketch Challenges to find new layouts - if you don't use them give them a go - they can give you some great new ideas.

Well here we are my final card for the release showcase! For this card I went all 'artsy'! This lovely image is called "Artist" and is by Dana's Digi's. I just love her sweet face and beautiful eyes! She has a dreamy quality about her so I used a sentiment from "Framed Word Sentiments" by Raindrop Echo Designs (just without the border). Both  the image and sentiment are available from Whimsy Stamps. I followed the current Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 164, which has a 'tag' tucked behind the image. I decided that for this card a little painting was more appropriate ;) I chose colours that my Mum would like as she is the professional 'Artiste' in our family!
