Whimsy Inspiration - Chalkboards 2

Hi Everyone!
I have some Whimsy inspiration to share with you today!

For this card I inked up this awesome sentiment from 'Chalkboards 2' set by SC Designs, available at the Whimsy Stamps store. I just love these sentiments and can see myself using them for SO many cards!

I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Ink, cut it out with Nestabilities Labels 8, and sponged around the edge with Distress Ink 'Frayed Burlap'.

I framed this with the matching Nestabilities Decorative Labels 8, and added it to my card made with My Mind's Eye - Lost and Found 'Sunshine' 6x6 papers. (Love these!!)

To finish I added some felt ribbon (made into a bow with a pearl brad), and some roses.

Hope you like it!

Whimsy August Rubber & Die Release - Day 1

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to Day 1 of the ...
Whimsy Stamps August rubber stamp and die release!

Over the next 3 days we will reveal the new August 2014 Whimsy Stamps products. Whimsy is releasing 11 new red rubber stamps/stamp sets and 3 coordinating die/die sets this week, and they will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store and selected Whimsy Stamps retailers on Wednesday.

Today we are excited to show you the brand new Elisabeth Bell, Time for Tea Designs and SC Design stamps being released this month. For a full reveal of these stamps, check out the Whimsy blog!

For today's project, I have inked up this sweet new image from Time 4 Tea Designs called 'Cozy Cardi'. I have also used a sentiment from the new 'Chalkboards 2' set from  SC Designs.

I stamped the image and sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Ink, coloured the image with Copicmarkers, and sponged around both pieces with Distress Ink.

The papers are from Basic Grey 'Pyrus' 6 x 6 paper pad, and I only had small pieces left so arranged them in a pattern with wide lace covering where they didn't quite meet! (cheeky I know!)

I framed the image and sentiment with Nestabilities Romantic Rectangles and attached with mounting foam. To finish I embellished with some roses and pearls.

So now it's time for you to continue today's hop! We are thrilled to welcome Hellen Pearce, Sheri Willshire, Tabbatha Sandoval and Tracey Murphy as our Guest Designers for this release. Welcome ladies!

PRIZE ALERT ... We have hidden a fabulous prize of a $15 GIFT CERTIFICATE at one of the stops on today’s hop! The lucky winner will be drawn from the comments left on today’s design team posts (listed below), so be sure to visit everyone and leave a comment at every stop along the hop to be entered into the draw:

Whimsy Inspiration - Summer Watermelon

Hi Everyone!
I have some more Whimsy inspiration to share with you today!

For this card I inked up this sweet little fellow 'Little Jack and Bobbin Summer Watermelon' from Elisabeth Bell, and also used 'Everyday Moment' sentiments by Simonne Clay Designs. Both of these are available at the Whimsy Stamps store.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Ink, coloured with Copic markers, and used Pearlescent chalks for a soft sky.

I remembered I have this cute digital paper freebie with little wagons and think it was the perfect fit for this little guy ;)

I liked how clean and bright this card came out - I don't often get to make little boy cards with 3 nieces so this was a fun change!

Hope you like it too!

Today we are excited to show you the brand new Elisabeth Bell, Time for Tea Designs and Raindrop Echo Designs stamps and dies being released this month. For a full reveal of these stamps, check out the Whimsy blog!

For today's project, I have used the fun new 'On the Grill' sentiment set by Raindrop Echo Designs, and the matching 'BBQ Grill' Shapeology Die.
I tried to use papers that would give a 'picnic' feel, and to create a banner I used Lace Tape -White No.1'  and Whimsy 'Banner Pennants Die set'. I also added some of the Lace Tape across the pattern paper joins.

Although the 'On the Grill' sentiments fit perfectly in the centre of the 'BBQ Grill' die, I chose to add a border and flower to frame it, and popped it up on the banner.

I die-cut the 'BBQ Grill' die from black cardstock, then cut the lid across "open" it. After gluing the die-cut to patterned matt, I added a few of the stamped accessories, and a little puff of 'cooking' smoke. I just added a few pearls to finish.

So now it's time for you to continue today's hop! Don’t forget to leave a comment at every stop along the hop to be entered into the draw to win a $15 gift certificate:

Whimsy Inspiration - Daphne!

Hi Everyone!

I have some more Whimsy inspiration to share with you today!

I made this card using the adorable 'Daphne' from Wee Stamps. Isn't she so sweet? I've also used the new 'Tiny Tags Dies' set and 'Just My Type'  alphabet stamps to create a banner hanging from the 'Double Scallop Doily Die'.  All of these are available at the Whimsy Stamps store.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Ink, coloured with Copic markers, and sponged around image with Distress Ink. The papers are  Nitwit Collections 'Daffodil Joy' digital papers.

I stamped the letters in Memento Rich Cocoa, cut into small circles and glued onto the Heart Tags. I then attached the Heart Tags with embroidery floss around the bottom of the scalloped doily die, and popped the whole piece onto the card with mounting foam.

I used Stickles to give her some shimmery wings, and added some pearl details. I finished with an ivory bow and some roses and larger pearls.

Hope you like my card!
