Whimsy Stamps July rubber stamp and die release!

Over the next 3 days we will reveal the new July 2014 Whimsy Stamps products. Whimsy is releasing 14 new red rubber stamps/stamp sets and 4 coordinating die/die sets this week, and they will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store and selected Whimsy Stamps retailers on Wednesday.

We are thrilled to welcome Mary Johnson, Linda Levoir, Bridget Curnow and Sue Hughes as our Guest Designers for this release. Welcome ladies!

Today we are excited to show you the brand new Elisabeth Bell, Time for Tea Designs and Raindrop Echo Designs stamps and dies being released this month. For a full reveal of these stamps, check out the Whimsy blog!

For today's project, I have used the fun new 'On the Grill' sentiment set by Raindrop Echo Designs, and the matching 'BBQ Grill' Shapeology Die.
I tried to use papers that would give a 'picnic' feel, and to create a banner I used Lace Tape -White No.1'  and Whimsy 'Banner Pennants Die set'. I also added some of the Lace Tape across the pattern paper joins.

 

 

Although the 'On the Grill' sentiments fit perfectly in the centre of the 'BBQ Grill' die, I chose to add a border and flower to frame it, and popped it up on the banner.

 

I die-cut the 'BBQ Grill' die from black cardstock, then cut the lid across "open" it. After gluing the die-cut to patterned matt, I added a few of the stamped accessories, and a little puff of 'cooking' smoke. I just added a few pearls to finish.
