Whimsy Stamps August 'Time For Tea Designs' Hop!

Hi everyone and welcome to the ...
Time For Tea Designs for Whimsy Stamps BLOG HOP

Last month we announced the very exciting news that Jo Davies of Time For Tea Designs has joined the Whimsy Stamps family of artists! Jo’s debut release for Whimsy Stamps will be available to buy from the Whimsy store tomorrow (21 August 2013) along with the rest of the brand new August rubber and die release. In the lead up to the release, the Whimsy Stamps DT are excited to share with you an exclusive Time For Tea Designs for Whimsy Stamps BLOG HOP packed full of previews of these fabulous new stamps. This month we are releasing FOUR Time For Tea Designs for Whimsy Stamps rubber stamps:

                   Bookish                                                        Heart Balloon
                      Love                                                         Windy Day

The hop starts today (Tuesday August 20th at 12.00PM EST), runs through the entire August release week, and ends on Friday August 23rd at 12.00PM EST. For this hop we have a GRAND PRIZE DRAW! One lucky hopper will WIN the entire new release of ALL FOUR TFTD STAMPS. We're not telling you at which blog the grand prize is being hosted, so be sure to complete the hop to find it!

For my blog hop card I used used "Bookish". I love this image - mostly because I am a huge Book- lover and avid reader so I think she's adorable! ;) But I also thought she'd be perfect for a 'favourite teacher' thank you card, so that's what I went with today.

I stamped the image twice using Momento Tuxedo Ink, coloured with Copics, and fussy cut them.

I used a selection of digital papers from Sweet Shoppe Designs "School Days" kit, each edged with Distress Ink 'Frayed Burlap' to give an aged look, and framed with SU espresso cardstock. I also used some printable embellishments from the same kit.

Finally, I double-mounted my fussy cut images and finished with some pearls. Hope you like my "Bookish" girl!

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy hopping!

Fantastic! Did you put the shadow behind the cutout or is it from the photo? I'm new to this and trying to figure out how you all do this!
