Our March Digital Release Blog Hop will be coming up tomorrow... But for today we have another great Whimsy Inspiration Challenge for you! Our theme this week is "Paper Piecing!"
You don't have to use a Whimsy image, but it would be great if you did! And it doesn't have to be a card - we welcome all paper projects. Don't forget to check out the challenge details - and your chance to be a Guest Designer with us - over at the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Blog!
I really love paper-piecing, and how it opens up a whole range of patterns and textures to play with! Sure, all that fussy-cutting can be tricky... but it's so worth it for a special card. For this challenge I decided to 'merge' two of Crissy Armstrong's fab images - the sweet "Heartfelt Angel" with "Meadow Background". The sentiment is from the Raindrop Echo set "Spring Sentiments" - and all these goodies can be found at the fabulous Whimsy Stamps Store.
I used some Sweet Shoppe Digi papers and followed the current Sketchy Colours #106. There are lots of firsts on this card for me - my first real go at 'proper' grass, hair, and sky. Stretching myself all the time, and I figure I can't learn if I don't try! ;)
Hope you like my card!
