Welcome to a brand new challenge for the New Year at "Sundays with Crissy"!!
To get you all warmed up, and thaw out those creative juices, our theme for January is... "Beat the Mid-Winter Blues!" We want you to think warm and sunny thoughts! Anything that screams beach, seaside, underwater, sunny, tropical... you get the picture.
Of course this is easy peasy for me, considering we are actually in the middle of a heat-wave LOL!!
I don't really have to stretch my imagination toooo far here in our Aussie summer! ;)
But you guys shivering with your jumpers on can just dream of tropical paradises, warm sunshine and summery colours - and for once I'll feel like your cards are especially for me! ;)
My beautiful niece has just had her 3rd birthday, so I chose to show you the card I made for her. It looks just like her (all blonde curls and blue eyes), and of course this time of year she loves to be out in the sunshine picking the flowers... perfect for our summery theme!
This image is the absolutely adorable "Gracie's Roses" by Crissy Armstrong (of course!), and is available from Whimsy Stamps. The pretty summery papers are from Bo Bunny's Kitchen Spice collection, and the birthday sentiment is PTI. I popped Ava, I mean Gracie, up on mounted foam so she stands out - just cause she's such a sweetie!
The good news is my niece loved her card. She held it up to herself in front of the mirror and told her Mum "that's me"! - how cute is that?? Thanks Crissy!! ;)
Hope you all have a fabulous week!
Love & Hugs,
