Whimsy Inspiration Challenge #19

Hi Everyone!!
It's time for a new Whimsy Inspiration Challenge!
This weeks theme is "Add a Charm!"  And you'll have extra time to make your 'charming' creations, because we are taking a little break over Christmas! So this challenge will be open until the 4th January, when we'll all be back feeling inspired and refreshed!

You don't have to use a Whimsy image, but it would be great if you did! And it doesn't have to be a card - we welcome all paper projects. Don't forget to check out the challenge details - and your chance to be a Guest Designer with us - over at the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Blog!

Would you know I didn't have a single metal charm? And we don't have Scrapbook stores where I live. But it's amazing what you can scrounge out of an old jewelry box when needed (and in a panic!) I have to admit that I actually chose the image and quote around the star charm LOL!

The image is the sweet new "Leah Catch a Star" from Lia's Stampz, with a sentiment from the beautiful Raindrop Echo Designs sentiment set "Amongst the Stars". Both these are available from the fabulous Whimsy Stamps Store of course!

I followed the Sketch Saturday Week #185, and used Basic Grey Jovial papers.

Hope you like my card!

And another angle which shows the charm a bit clearer...

Heart Song Inspiration Challenge #28

Hi Everyone!!
It's Monday, so it's Heart Song Inspiration Challenge time again! This weeks challenge theme is... "Snowflakes and/or Doilies"!
We'd love you to play along with us! You don't have to use a Heart Song image - but of course we would love you to! You could win two images of your choice from the Heart Song Designs store!

Well, this is our last Heart Song Inspiration Challenge before Christmas (we are taking a little break), so it's a great chance for you to get in with those last minute Christmas cards! And Snowflakes and Doilies are perfectly Christmassy, so that's what I went with! I decided to use Leah's beautiful "Christmas Candle" image and sentiment, with an embossed snowflake background, and a sponged doily as the candles glow.

I double mounted the poinsettia and candle flame for added depth, and used The Outlawz Wednesday's Sketch Challenge for December 7.

Hope you like it...

And an angle shot to see the dimension...

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you can play along with us at Heart Song Inspirations this week!

I decided to use the totally adorable new "Snowman Skating" from Crissy Armstrong, available from the fabulous Whimsy Stamps Store. All the new snowmen this month are just SOOOO cute!!

I followed the "Sketch 'n' Stash" #76. I wanted to change the colours of my snowman a bit from the usual, so chose purple, green and red, which went perfectly together with some pattern trimmings from my now well-used Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather 6x6 pad. And of course the Pearls to finish the Challenge with!

Hope you like my card!
